Why do I need to fill out the Measuring Form?
We have over 40 years of experience custom manufacturing window
well covers. This experience has allowed us to develop this form
which, when filled out in its entirety, gives all of the information
we need to quote a cover that will fit properly. When we have
all of the requested dimensions, we are able to accurately determine
which model and size is the most appropriate for your wells.
Remember, we will determine the correct cover size. All you need
to submit are the actual dimensions as requested on the Measuring
Form. We will do the rest.

What payment
methods are accepted?
We accept personal checks, Visa, Master Card and Discover. Please
be advised that there will be a delay in processing credit cards.
We do not process payment by credit card until your units are manufactured
and ready to ship.

How will my Window Bubbles be shipped?
Window Bubbles are shipped the most economical way possible. We utilize common
carriers, such as UPS and FED EX, using both their small and large package
services. When the size of a cover necessitates, we employ the services of
private freight companies. Please realize that our package rates are determined
by size rather than weight. Although a cover may be rather light, the shipping
rate is charged based on the package’s dimensional size.
To save on shipping, some of our larger units with redwood frames
are shipped unassembled. All covers are fully assembled and inspected
in our facility, and broken down to allow for the most economical
shipping method. These units come complete with all hardware and
instructions. If you prefer to have your unit shipped preassembled,
please contact our office for a rate quote.

Is there a guarantee?
We guarantee that your cover will fit. If for some reason it does not, we will
replace it, or take it back for a full refund.
All of our
Window Bubbles are fully guaranteed against defects in materials
and workmanship. The Window Bubble is made of 3/16” clear
Plexiglas® Acrylic.
We use acrylic sheet because it has proven for over 50 years to be an exceptionally
good material in its ability to withstand weather, sun and a wide range of
temperatures in outdoor use. Although this material is very durable and strong,
it may break under impact in some circumstances. Window Bubbles are not guaranteed
against breakage due to abuse or impact from lawn mowers, weed trimmers,
utility or maintenance workers, etc. We recommend removing the
cover when maintenance work is being performed in the area of
the well.
For more information
about Plexiglas® properties, please visit
the manufacturer's website.

How do I clean/care for my Window Bubble?
Our covers are designed to fit on or over top of metal, wood, plastic and masonry
window wells. They are designed to keep out rain, snow, leaves and other
debris. They are not designed to sit or stand on. DO NOT STAND, SIT or STEP
on your covers. Safety warning labels are available upon request.
DO NOT DRILL
or CUT the bubble without first calling our office. Plexiglas® Acrylic
will crack and/or break if not worked properly. Altering your
cover will void the warranty.
We recommend
that Window Bubbles be removed from your wells whenever you are
having maintenance done around your home. Roofers, painters,
siding installers and landscapers are a few of the worst offenders
of damaged window well covers.
Cleaning your Window Bubble is simple. Hose it down with water
and mild dish detergent. Do not use paper towels or rags to
wipe off the dirt. Using your bare hand (make sure you do not
have rings on), swish the soapy water over the cover and hose
off with clean water. Plexiglas® will scratch if
cleaned with any abrasive substance. DO NOT USE WINDOW CLEANER OR ABRASIVES
ON Plexiglas®.
For more information
on the care/cleaning of Plexiglas®, please visit
the manufacturer's website.

What is required to install my Window Bubbles?
All Window Bubbles come complete with installation hardware and instructions.
For most applications, you will need a ¼” masonry drill bit
and power drill. See the assembly instructions for each model for specific
installation instructions. This information can be found on each model’s
Spec sheet. To find the Spec sheet for your product, please visit our Products
Information Page or Site
Map.

What is required to assemble a large unit?
All units will have complete installation instructions and hardware included.
We preassemble every cover before it is broken down for shipment. For larger
units which have redwood applications a ¼” nut driver or socket
is helpful to speed assembly. We would be glad to provide this tool if needed.
Let us know when you place your order and we will include it in your hardware
package. Larger units require 2 people to assemble. Always use care when working
around an open window well.

How long does it take to manufacture my cover?
Depending on the time of year, we fill orders within 3-6 weeks. Dilworth Manufacturing
Company has been manufacturing custom window well covers for over 35 years.
We take great pride in providing high quality, excellent performing and long
lasting products to our customers. Window Bubbles are manufactured one at
a time, and are tailored to your specific well situation. Each cover is fully
assembled and inspected before leaving our facility. (Larger units are broken
down for packaging to allow the most economical shipping rate.) We will not
rush any order to sacrifice that quality.

How do I care for Redwood sides/frames?
We use redwood for its superior performance in outdoor applications as well
as its resistance to decay and insects. Over time, untreated redwood weathers
to a silver gray color. For more information, go to www.calredwood.org/homeown/extfin.htm.
